| My First Car from "Blue Guitar" |
 |
My first car, was the one I am claiming to be
By far, a kind of automotive sincerity
My friends, and the strangers who lived in my street
Would laugh, at what they called my 'Italian Mercedes' |
 |
And it may be hard to insure
Mechanically there's problems galore
And there might be some rust in the door ... my first car |
 |
I'd drive, just to burn up my fuel everyday
I laughed, when I broke the economy gauge
I'll go, out to Melton and skate if I want
Head down, to the corner and buy a croissant |
 |
And it may be hard to insure
The motor may fall through the floor
But I'm gonna pull chicks now for sure ... my first car |
 |
I think back, to the days of the manual shift
The big six helped me get through my apprenticeship
And now, since I'm so damn mature I can't
Go crazy, like I did in my Valiant |
 |
It used to be hard to insure
It looked cool with the 'widies' for sure
And the Hemi made a thundering roar ... my first car |
