The tale of those pants

At left, it's me playing live in the early 2000s at the Sandbelt Hotel in my home town of Melbourne ... in those pants! The most controversial article of clothing I've ever owned. There was no middle ground with those pants - you either loved 'em or hated 'em. But as bright as they were, everything fades ...

The photo at right was the final on-stage appearance of the legendary strides, at the Woodford Folk Festival, NYE 2009. Part way through the show they suffered a fatal wardrobe malfunction and, although a quick fix with gaffa got them through the gig, they're now appealing to (or apalling) fashionistas in the trouser afterlife.
