1950's Gibson EM-150

I bought this electric mandolin from Guitar Works in Illinois, who were very helpful getting it to me. I had the idea that it would be cool to play straight into my Vox AC-30 amplifier occasionally ... and it is!

At first I thought it sounded a bit too much like a guitar so I tended to plug in Bucky or my F-9 for a while, but now I’m more in sync with the EM-150, and like to play it in my electric band. She has a wide neck and is great to crank up, so it’s fun to play.
