1994 Grubisa (aka 'The Grub')

This guitar was a prototype of Grubisa's Merlin model. I took 'the Grub' on tour with the Screaming Jets and used it to record the 'drop D' tuned songs on the Gorilla album. She has a carved 'tailpiece' and hollow chambers, also a 'one off' spruce top. Originally sporting a single bridge filtertronic, I then had a second one installed.

Eventually, Frank made me a humbucking/maple model, but I was so into this guitar I wouldn't send her back. These days she has one neck position Jim Dyson P-90 and plays the blues. This is one of those guitars I'll never part with.
