1973 Les Paul 'Recording Model'

For most players the 'Recording Model' is complicated, but Les used this model till the end. I saw him play one in New York in 2005.

I spent time figuring out the controls and what I believe was Les' concept. I really love this guitar. The 11 position decade pot tweaks the top end frequencies in a low impedance mode that Les designed for direct recording, but there are also some cool phasing sounds you can use in a high impedance mode when using an amp. The guitar has a great sonic range but still needs more level, so I usually use a line booster with it.
